CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Tennessee baseball fans in Chattanooga will have to wait another week to see the Vols at Erlanger Park. The university said Thursday that Sunday’s fall exhibition against Kennesaw State is off because of the bad weather in the forecast, and the game will not be made up.

Sunday’s matchup was supposed to be the third of four fall tune-ups on Tennessee’s schedule, and the team announced it will not be rescheduled. The Vols now close out the fall against Georgia Tech at Erlanger Park on Nov. 8, with the first pitch at 2 p.m. Eastern.

That finale carries some extra interest. The Yellow Jackets entered last season’s NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 national seed before Oklahoma, the team that went on to win the national title, knocked them out in the Atlanta Regional.

Anyone who bought a seat for the Kennesaw State game does not need to request a refund. A credit will land in each buyer’s Lookouts MiLB account within a day of the announcement, and it can be spent on the Georgia Tech game or on any Chattanooga Lookouts home game during the 2027 regular season.

Tennessee is unbeaten so far in its traveling fall series. On Oct. 11 the Vols beat Troy 8-6 in Nashville in a contest scheduled for 12 innings, and five days later they rolled past Lipscomb at Smokies Stadium, 21-8, over 10 innings.

That leaves the Nov. 8 meeting with Georgia Tech as the only remaining chance this fall for Chattanooga-area fans to watch Tennessee in person, since the Nov. 1 date with Kennesaw State, announced as canceled on Oct. 29, will not be replaced on the calendar.
