Chattanooga students have been honored for their academic achievements during the Spring 2025 semester, with several individuals making notable Dean’s and Honor Lists at prestigious colleges and universities. These recognitions underscore the commitment to academic excellence among local students.

At Muhlenberg College, Sophia Jullienne, a graduate of Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, was named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List, which requires students to achieve a GPA of 3.5 or better while completing three or more course units. Another Chattanooga native, Emma Teske, a graduate of Chattanooga High School, also earned this distinction while pursuing studies in Theatre and Anthropology.

From Rhodes College, Audra Bell was recognized on the Spring 2025 Dean’s List, which mandates a GPA of 3.70 or higher for at least 16 credit hours. The college held its 176th Commencement Exercises on May 17, 2025, where over 500 degrees were awarded. Notable graduates from Chattanooga include Grant Burks (Bachelor of Science in Biology, Cum Laude), Macy Tidmore (Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Cum Laude), and Porter Kaufman (Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Cum Laude). Additionally, Macy Tidmore, Porter Kaufman, along with Lily Simpson and Audrey Zmaj, received Spring 2025 Honor Roll recognition for achieving a GPA of 3.85 or higher.

Chattanooga students also excelled at Roane State Community College, where Carson Yates made the Dean’s List, which honors full-time students with a GPA ranging from 3.50 to 3.99.

Further academic achievements were observed at Mississippi State University, where local students Annabelle DiStasio, Rebekah Fuller, and Ravina Talwar were named to the President’s List for maintaining a GPA of 3.80 or better. Meanwhile, William Manning and Olivia Small made the Dean’s List with GPAs between 3.5 and 3.79.

At the University of Arkansas, Milo Newton from Chattanooga earned a spot on the Dean’s List by achieving a GPA of 3.75 or higher while completing at least 12 credit hours. Georgia Southern University recognized approximately 3,800 students on its Spring 2025 Dean’s List, with local participants including Sophie Romeo, Whitney Phillips, and Anne Steele, all of whom achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher while carrying a minimum of 12 hours.

The University of Mississippi also announced their Chancellor’s Honor Roll for students with GPAs ranging from 3.75 to 4.00, including Chattanooga residents Megan Stewart (Film Production), Jensen Ware (Public Policy Leadership), Chase Manton (Integrated Marketing Communications), Madison Sugden (Accountancy), and Avery Sanders (Allied Health Studies).

Moreover, at Freed-Hardeman University, Lauren Cabrera from Chattanooga graduated summa cum laude and was named to the President’s List, while Tyson Campbell was recognized on the Dean’s List.

Dalton State College awarded degrees to several local students, including Damian Solorzano (Bachelor of Arts in History), Jonathan Bowman (Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness), and Christina Ringer (Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership).

Additionally, from Western Carolina University, Bree Brantley has been honored with placement on the Chancellor’s List by achieving a GPA of 3.8 or higher. At Georgia State University, Aarav Amin secured a spot on the President’s List for a perfect GPA of 4.0. Finally, Jackson Shutters from Chattanooga was named to the President’s Honor Roll at the University of North Georgia with a 4.0 GPA.
