Chattanooga Celebrates Culinary Creativity with Burger Week 2025

The city of Chattanooga recently concluded its fifth annual Burger Week, which ran from April 21 to April 27, 2025. This year’s event was presented by the Tennessee Beef Industry Council and saw participation from forty local restaurants offering unique burger options for just $8 each. Over the course of the week, more than 20,000 burgers were served, showcasing a variety of flavors from classic to creatively unique.

As part of the festivities, local patrons were able to cast their votes for their favorites in three categories: Best Classic Burger, Most Creative Toppings, and Best Burger Overall. In a competitive atmosphere, the winners were announced, with Hoppy’s North River Corner Market taking home the title for Best Classic Burger with their Bacon Cheese Burger, Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint winning Most Creative Toppings with their “Don’t Call My Name, Alejandro” Burger, and Oddstory Brewing Co. Central claiming Best Burger Overall for their Elote Smash Burger.

Engagement and Community Involvement

The Burger Week event drew significant community engagement, evidenced by over 7,000 downloads of the official Burger Week app. The app recorded more than 10,000 check-ins at participating restaurants, allowing users to accumulate points for a chance to win prizes. This year’s Grand Prize included $500 in restaurant gift cards, Day Passes to Common House, and various burger-themed merchandise from the Tennessee Beef Industry Council.

In a unique twist, the Tennessee Beef Industry Council introduced the Burger Bud, who surprised patrons at random burger stops with additional gift cards and burger swag. Additionally, attendees benefited from opportunities to win prizes through app activities and social media giveaways.

Support for Local Food Bank

For the first time in its history, Burger Week allowed patrons to contribute to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank by donating canned goods at various participating restaurants. This initiative offered bonus points to donors, fostering a sense of community support amidst the culinary celebration.

Looking Ahead

The success of Chattanooga Burger Week 2025 has already led organizers to plan the sixth annual event, which is set to occur from April 6-12, 2026. Plans are in motion to enhance the experience with more diverse burger offerings and increased community involvement.

In addition to Burger Week activities, the Hixson Community Farmers Market announced a Grand Re-Opening Celebration scheduled for May 3, 2025, featuring a free pancake breakfast, further emphasizing the city’s commitment to its local culinary scene.

Through the combination of gourmet dining, community engagement, and support for local initiatives, Chattanooga Burger Week has successfully distinguished itself as a noteworthy event, driving business to local restaurants while celebrating culinary creativity within the community.
