Chattanooga Celebrates Culinary Diversity with Burger Week 2025

Chattanooga hosted its fifth annual Burger Week from April 21 to April 27, 2025, drawing thousands of burger enthusiasts to local eateries. Over 40 restaurants participated in this popular event, offering unique burger creations for only $8 each. The celebration resulted in the serving of more than 20,000 burgers throughout the week, reflecting the city’s vibrant culinary scene.

Event Highlights

The event showcased a wide array of burger styles that catered to various tastes, from traditional recipes to inventive concoctions. Among the standout offerings were Drake’s Fireworks Burger, featuring ghost pepper cheese, and Jack Brown’s Crab Rangoon Burger, made with premium Wagyu beef. These creative spins on the classic burger delighted attendees and encouraged exploration of local flavors.

To enhance participation, diners were encouraged to download the Chattanooga Burger Week app, which allowed them to check in at participating restaurants. More than 7,000 individuals downloaded the app, with users checking in over 10,000 times at the various locations. The app provided users with the chance to accumulate points toward prizes, which included $500 in restaurant gift cards, Day Passes to Common House, and exclusive burger-themed merchandise.

Supporting a Good Cause

This year’s Burger Week not only satisfied appetites but also supported local communities. Participants could donate canned goods at restaurants or volunteer with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, earning extra points for their contributions. This initiative aimed to bolster local hunger efforts, thereby enhancing community engagement throughout the event.

Voting and Community Involvement

Another engaging aspect of the event was the opportunity for patrons to vote on their favorite burgers in several categories, including Best Classic Burger, Most Creative Toppings, and Best Burger Overall. Winners were determined by the votes of participating diners at the end of the week. Additional incentives were provided by the Tennessee Beef Industry Council, which randomly gifted patrons at various burger stops.

A Look Back at the Tradition

Chattanooga Burger Week was first established to celebrate the city’s rich food culture and foster collaboration among local businesses. Over the past five years, the event has grown significantly, not only in terms of participation from restaurants but also in community involvement. The 2025 celebration exemplified this growth and enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of local food scenes and the collective effort to combat food insecurity.

Looking Ahead

Chattanooga Burger Week will return for its sixth year from April 6-12, 2026, promising even more culinary delights and community spirit. As the event continues to evolve, it remains dedicated to showcasing local talent while supporting critical hunger initiatives within the region.
