Registration Opens for The City of Chattanooga’s Kids and Teen Summer Camp

The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Community Development is gearing up for the much-anticipated annual kids and teen summer camp. Registration is now open with an enrollment deadline of June 1.

More Community Centers, More Fun

In a positive trend from the previous years, an increased number of community centers across Chattanooga have pledged to host the summer camp. This expansion provides additional opportunities for both Chattanooga residents and non-residents to partake in a platter of fun-filled and educational activities curated exclusively for the summer program.

Interim Administrator for the Department of Community Development, Don Walker, showed enthusiasm regarding this development. He stated, “With an increase in community center participation and more community resources signing up to curate activities for the youth, we are looking forward to embracing participants with activities inspired to enrich the mind, enhance growth in our youth, and of course, include loads of fun.”

Summer Camp Details

The summer camp is designed for two age groups. The kids’ summer camp welcomes children aged 6 to 12 and will be hosted at 12 community centers around the city. The teen summer camp caters to the age group of 13 to 16 and will take place at the East Lake and East Chattanooga Community Centers.

All summer camps will commence on June 3rd and will span eight weeks, wrapping up on July 26th. The camp will not operate on June 19th, and from July 1 to July 5.

Registration is affordable for all participants, thanks to flat-rate payments. Early bird registrants who are Hamilton County residents will be charged $30, while non-residents will be quoted at $70 per attendee.
