Weller was a cherished figure in the Hamilton County School System for over three decades, with 18 years dedicated specifically to Apison Elementary.

Born on August 27, 1967, in Hamilton County, Weller was a lifelong resident. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and furthered his education with a master’s degree in administration and supervision from Trevecca Nazarene University. Throughout his 31-year career, Weller became known for his enthusiasm, dedication, and the unique ability to engage with every child in his care.

At Apison Elementary, Weller was more than just a teacher; he was an integral part of students’ joyful experiences during their school years. Known for creating a lively and supportive atmosphere in the gym, he often played music from the 80s and 90s, making physical education classes memorable for students. Visitation services to honor him will be held on Friday, August 15, from 4–8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, Valley View Chapel, with a private family burial to follow.
