She graduated from Riverside High School in 1972, where her peers honored her with the title of “Miss Riverside High”, a testament to her vibrant spirit and charm.

Millie’s thirst for knowledge led her to attend Middle Tennessee State University, finishing her studies at Edmondson College. Throughout the years, she never missed a homecoming or class reunion, a testament to her strong connections with her alma maters.
Millie’s passion for healthcare began at Erlanger Hospital, where she worked as a dietician. Over the years, she made her mark at every major hospital in Chattanooga, including Park Ridge Hospital and CHI Memorial Hospital. As a hospital registrar, she was immensely respected by both patients and staff, known for her kindness and compassion that eased the hospital experience for countless individuals.
Devoted to Faith and Community
A devout member of St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church, Millie played an integral role in her faith community. She dedicated her time as a delegate for AME General Conferences, served as a stewardess, and worked as a missionary, displaying an unwavering commitment to her church and the values it represented.
Family Connections
While Millie’s professional life was commendable, it was her family that truly meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Archie D. Reeves Jr., who passed away just two weeks before her, her dear daughter Amie Reeves, and her parents, James and Johnnie Mae Williams. Despite these tragic losses, Millie is survived by her three devoted children: Arcie D. Reeves of Chattanooga, Karris Robinson (Terrell) of Mableton, GA, and Brian Reeves of Nashville, TN. She also has a sister-cousin, Raynetta Jenkins, residing in Cleveland, Ohio.
Among her most treasured relationships was her lifelong friendship with Patricia Armour, who has stood by her side since the third grade. Millie’s heart swelled with joy for her only grandchild, Tatum James Robinson, whom she lovingly called her “sweet thing.”
