The new Department of Parks and Outdoors brings together multiple missions and services from other organizations to create a more streamlined and functional parks department that emphasizes outdoor activities. Park design, programming, and maintenance, greenways and neighborhood linkages, Outdoor Chattanooga, special events, outdoor recreation, and municipal golf courses are among them.
