Born in Elberton, Georgia, to parents Mel and Ruth Furcron, Bob’s life journey included a notable military service in the United States as part of the Munitions and Chemical Corps. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Physics from North Georgia College, laying the groundwork for a successful career in water treatment. After his military service, Bob further pursued education by earning his Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Bob dedicated over 30 years to Der-Kel Chemical, where his expertise in water treatment made a significant impact. A second visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Silverdale Baptist Church Student Ministry Building. Following the second visitation, a funeral service officiated by Rev. Brian Squires will take place at 12:30 p.m. Bob will be interred at Chattanooga National Cemetery after the funeral.
