Skate Station Roller Rink Experience Transforms Chattanooga Choo Choo
In an exciting turn of events, the renowned Chattanooga Choo Choo’s dome building is reinvented as Skate Station, a roller rink pop-up hosted by Dazey Skate Company. The novel skating experience, which will run from July 3 to August 4 this year, gives the city a fresh gust of kinetic fun and community bonding.
The rink boasts a wide spectrum of available rental skates, catering to every family member’s requirements. Furthermore, people are also welcome to bring their own roller skates to ensure maximized suitability and comfort. Ensuring everyone can take part in the fun, regardless of their experience level, Skate Station will host a series of learn-to-skate workshops. The aim is to provide a safe and fun opportunity for beginners to learn, and for the enthusiasts to polish their skills on wheels.
Themed Parties, Meetups and More
Throughout the span of a month, Skate Station has planned a variety of themed parties and meetups. From homeschool day events to 80’s night parties, Swiftie (Taylor Swift fan club) nights to beginners meetups, the rink ensures something for everyone.
On July 20, the Skate Station will host a unique night market showcasing a panorama of local small businesses and artists. This not only adds to the community’s spirit but also gives the visitors an opportunity to explore some local artistry.
Live DJ Sets Unleashing Fun
Each Saturday night, the skating rink will light up with lively DJ sets, featuring several local talents from Chattanooga. Randi Franklin, the owner of Dazey Skate Co., is excited to bring Skate Station to life. He anticipates the fusion of nostalgic fun with community engagement to make the event unique and appealing to Chattanooga’s residents.
The teams behind the event are working tirelessly to ensure an interactive skating experience. Clint Knight, from Frothy Monkey, shares the excitement with the pop-up’s attendees, hinting at special theme drink specials, frosé, dinner, and more to boost the fun factor.

An admission fee of $12 covers the cost of entering the venue and renting skates. For those interested in organizing private parties at the rink, the team is available at dazeyskateco@gmail.com.
