Songbirds to Re-Open This Saturday at a New Location on Main Street

Four months after closing its original location at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, Songbirds is set to reopen doors to the guitar enthusiasts and music lovers in a new venue at 206 W. Main St. this coming Saturday, announced Reed Caldwell, executive director for the nonprofit Songbirds Foundation. The new address will house a 4,000-square-foot facility that will relaunch at 6 p.m. on the announced date.
New Location, New Features
In addition to the significantly spacious layout that the new facility offers, it comes with a commercial kitchen, expanding the scope of services Songbirds can provide. Caldwell revealed plans of hosting a variety of musical and entertainment events, some of which will include dinner programs.
“We’re going to a donation-funded model for our guitar displays,” Caldwell stated, highlighting the rejigged fiscal operation of the facility. He also mentioned the ongoing fundraising efforts to support their Guitar for Kids program, which so far has donated over 1,000 guitars to children in need of such musical instruments.

The relocation from Station Street of Chattanooga Choo Choo and adjustments to the operational model signifies a new chapter for Songbirds, but their passion for promoting music and impacting lives through their programs remains intact.
