McCormick is remembered for his kind heart and unwavering love for his family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that touched many lives.

Born on January 9, 1959, McCormick was the beloved son of the late Willie and Flossie Ellen Ables McCormick. A proud graduate of Red Bank High School, he devoted his life to nurturing relationships and spreading joy. His gentle spirit and sense of humor endeared him to family and friends alike, reinforcing his reputation as a compassionate individual who always prioritized the well-being of those around him.

McCormick was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Flossie McCormick, as well as his aunt, Viola Young. He is survived by a close-knit family that includes his ex-wife and friend, Shirley McCormick, along with his daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Zack Neal. Additionally, he leaves behind a loving extended family, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends, all of whom were enriched by his presence.

The family is honoring McCormick’s life with a visitation to be held on Thursday, June 26, and Friday, June 27, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. His funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, in the chapel, with interment to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
