Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC): A helping Hand to Servicemen Transitioning into the Business World

Chattanooga, Tenn. – The Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) is set to host a significant resource fair for veterans on March 20, 2024. The event aims to provide valuable support and resources for active and retired military servicemembers looking to venture into business.

VBOC Meeting The Needs of Entrepreneurial Veterans

VBOC’s initiative comes as a response to an identified lack in comprehensive information and resources for veterans transitioning into the entrepreneurial environment. With this first-of-its-kind event, the organization aims to bridge this gap and help veterans succeed in business endeavors.

From Battlefields to Boardrooms

The event, taking place at 100 Cherokee Boulevard, is specifically catered to support military service members in their entrepreneurial journeys. Attendees will receive valuable insights into business operations, financing, and various other aspects of launching and running a business successfully.

Access to Necessary Resources

Rob Corrigan, the Director of VBOC, emphasized the importance of bringing these resources to veterans, especially those in locations like Chattanooga. “A lot of times when you’re away from motor insulation like out in Chattanooga, they don’t know what kind of resources are available….So we wanted to go out there, physically, and have a presence on the ground,” he said. The organization is optimistic that this event will be the beginning of a new supportive trend for veterans across the country.

Lending Hand to Spouses Too

The event goes further in its inclusivity. It is not only open to all veteran members but also to their spouses. This inclusive step considers the important role spouses play in supporting their partners’ transition to civilian life. It also recognizes the fact that entrepreneurship can be a coping strategy for families dealing with the lingering effects of service.

Hope for Continued Support

The event is an encouraging step towards promoting entrepreneurship among veterans.
