Chattanooga, TN – The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) celebrated its Class of 2025 during the 265th commencement ceremony held over the weekend of May 2-3, 2025. A total of 1,565 candidates received recognition for their academic achievements at the ceremonies, which took place at McKenzie Arena.
Graduate and Undergraduate Ceremonies
The graduation events consisted of three separate ceremonies occurring over the two-day period. The Graduate School ceremony was the first, conducted at 2:30 p.m. on May 2. Following that, undergraduate ceremonies took place on May 3, starting with a session at 9 a.m. for graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering and Computer Science. The second undergraduate ceremony commenced at 2 p.m. for graduates from the Gary W. Rollins College of Business and the College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies.
Degrees Awarded
Among the graduates, 1,257 candidates were awarded bachelor’s degrees. These degrees were distributed among various colleges as follows:
- College of Arts and Sciences: 553 degrees
- College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies: 294 degrees
- Gary W. Rollins College of Business: 232 degrees
- College of Engineering and Computer Science: 178 degrees
The Graduate School conferred a total of 308 advanced degrees and certificates, including:
- College of Arts and Sciences: 57 master’s degrees
- Rollins College of Business: 44 master’s degrees
- College of Engineering and Computer Science: 19 master’s degrees
- College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies: 98 master’s degrees
