History
Ooltewah was a small railroad stop through the early 20th century. Rapid residential development began in the 1990s as Hamilton County's eastern corridor emerged as the preferred location for new subdivisions. Growth accelerated after The Honors Course opened in 1983 and established the eastern corridor as a prestige address.
